St. Mary's Church Feast
St. Mary's Parish at Ellinger, Texas 67th Annual Bazaar and Feast has been rescheduled due to Hurricane Harvey to Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Community Center. The day will begin with Mass at 8:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church located 2 miles east of Ellinger off of FM 2503. Beginning at 11 AM a delicious Fried Chicken and Sausage dinner with all the trimmings will be served. Adult plates will be $10.00; children's plates $5.00. Adult plate Drive-Thru will be available starting at 11 AM. The Holub Polka Band will provide music from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Other entertainment throughout the day includes a Raffle featuring 32 prizes with the top prize being a $5,000 VISA Gift Card. Other prizes include a $1,000 Visa Gift Card and eight-$500 Visa Gift Cards, plus several other Visa Gift Cards and prizes. There will also be a Country Store/Surprise Package Booth, Cake/Plant Wheel and Silent Auction. The highlight of the afternoon is the Auction which begins at 1:00 P.M.  There will also be lots of pastries and kolaches available as well as plenty of ice-cold refreshments throughout the afternoon.

Fayetteville Picking Park
2nd Saturday
Fayetteville Picking Park - The Fayetteville Picking Park's live acoustic bluegrass jam will meet on Saturday, August 12, 2017, on the square in Fayetteville.  This family friendly event is free to the public and participants.  Bring a lawn chair.  A slow jam will begin at 1:00 pm in the Old Fire Station led by Lou Lou Barbour.  Jams will take place all throughout the square during the day.  All levels of players welcome. Old Fire Station will close at 10:00 pm.  There will still be jamming in the gazebo and the square after 10:00 pm.  Jams are held on the second Saturday of each month, except December.  Fayetteville is a nice little old Texas town of less than 300 people with the old courthouse on the square along with good restaurants, a great Museum, and some good shopping too. You'll want to come back.
