TURKEY & DRESSING DINNER

Fayetteville Serves Up its Annual Turkey & Dressing Dinner - Always the first Thursday in November.  With cooler weather comes the annual Fayetteville Turkey and Dressing Dinner drive thru only on Thursday, November 3 from 5-7 pm at the Community Center on 202 W. Main.  Peters Bar-B-Que will be catering the turkey, dressing, noodles, beans, and cranberries for $10.00 per plate benefiting the Community Baseball Park--one of the "special" areas for youth, groups, and adults alike.  Tickets are presale only and may be purchased at Jerry's, WestSide, Fayetteville Store, Fayetteville Bank, and Peters BBQ in Ellinger.  Call 979-378-2559 for questions.

Registration is Open for the 20th Anniversary Theatre Forum - Make plans now to attend this historic and Family Friendly event as the Forum "celebrates the stage" with a look back over its 20 year history at Round Top. The milestone event also celebrates the 20-year career of Kate Pogue who is retiring this year as producer of the Forum. The 3-day weekend features performances, recitals, lectures, talks and walks; good food; overnight accommodations; and offers a great opportunity to visit with friends, old and new. HARVESTFEST

ARTS 2017 Harvestfest at the St. John's Catholic Church Hall in Fayetteville.  Tickets are $100.00 each and there is dinner, wine and beer, Silent and Live Auctions with tons of good stuff to be auctioned, including trips, art, decor, a movie night at The Red and White, a private concerts, sign-up dinners etc.  Proceeds go to the Children's art programming including  free Art After School programs in numerous schools, Summer Art Camps, Fine Art Assemblies, etc. Hope to see you there! 38th Annual Turkey or Beef Stew - St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fayetteville Saturday, November 11th beginning at 10 AM At the Old Fire Station on the square. Also Bake Sale, & Raffle. Bake Sale & Serving Hot Dogs. Come try a hot bowl of stew. (Bring a pot. Limited amount of plastic containers will be available.) Thank you for your many years of continued support. Raffle tickets will be sold. Drawing for quilt will be held at noon.

Fayetteville Fayette Fest! Fayetteville is having a concert at the City Ballpark, Veterans Day, November 11, 2017 Noon til the stars come out. Live bands all afternoon into the evening. Kicked off at noon with a Veterans' Program saluting our veterans. Bring your picnic baskets and blankets. Sit out on the ball field and enjoy a variety of bands playing from home base throughout the day. Food vendors will also be set up. Entry: Adult $20. Children accompanied by an adult 7-15 $10 Under 7 FREE. Proceeds benefit Fayetteville's Courthouse Restoration Project.

2nd Saturday
Fayetteville Picking Park - The Fayetteville Picking Park's live acoustic bluegrass jam will meet on Saturday, November 11, 2017, on the square in Fayetteville.  This family friendly event is free to the public and participants.  Bring a lawn chair.  A slow jam will begin at 1:00 pm in the Old Fire Station led by Lou Lou Barbour.  Jams will take place all throughout the square during the day.  All levels of players welcome. Old Fire Station will close at 10:00 pm.  There will still be jamming in the gazebo and the square after 10:00 pm.  Jams are held on the second Saturday of each month, except December.  Fayetteville is a nice little old Texas town of less than 300 people with the old courthouse on the square along with good restaurants, a great Museum, and some good shopping too. You'll want to come back.
