Fayetteville Picking Park
Fayetteville Picking Park - The Fayetteville Picking Park's live acoustic bluegrass jam will meet on Saturday, October 14, 2017, on the square in Fayetteville. This family friendly event is free to the public and participants. Bring a lawn chair. A slow jam will begin at 1:00 pm in the Old Fire Station led by Lou Lou Barbour. Jams will take place all throughout the square during the day. All levels of players welcome. Old Fire Station will close at 10:00 pm. There will still be jamming in the gazebo and the square after 10:00 pm. Jams are held on the second Saturday of each month, except December. Fayetteville is a nice little old Texas town of less than 300 people with the old courthouse on the square along with good restaurants, a great Museum, and some good shopping too. You'll want to come back.

Visions and Voices Exhibition
Visions and Voices Exhibition - Art abounds at Festival Hill. Join us during the weekend of Friday-Saturday, October 27-28, 2017 for the exhibition, Visions and Voices. Writers, poets and visual artists from the Round Top area and around Texas will display their works on the campus of Round Top Festival Institute. The opening performance and exhibit will be held in the "Old Yellow School House," the service building east of the concert hall, on Friday, October 27 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm (doors open at 6:00 pm). Artists will talk about their works and read their poems and stories. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. On Saturday, October 28, the exhibit will be open
for your viewing from 1:00 pm till 5:00 pm. You will have time to view the exhibit and attend the Moores School Concert Chorale performance at 3:00 pm in the Festival Concert Hall.

Visions and Voices of Festival Hill - This will be in the old School House, east of the concert hall and will be open from 1pm till after the concert. The plan is to have an artists' get-together with family, friends and people interested on Friday October 27 starting at 7pm (doors open at 6pm) where artists can talk a bit about why they did what or read their poems or stories.
