Picking Park
2nd Saturday
Fayetteville Picking Park - The Fayetteville Picking Park live acoustic bluegrass jam will meet on Saturday, October 14, 2017, on the square in Fayetteville.  Free to the public and participants.  Bring a lawn chair.  The Old Fire Station will open at 11:00 am for jams.  The slow jam will now be at 4:00 pm instead of 1:00 pm in the Old Fire Station.  Jams will take place all throughout the square during the day.  All levels of players welcome. Old Fire Station will close at 10:00 pm.  There will still be jamming in the gazebo and the square after 10:00 pm.  Jams are held on the second Saturday of each month, except December.

Texanist Drawings
Thru Nov
Texanist Drawings by Jack Unruh, the legendary Dallas illustrator, created the Texanist drawings for the pages of Texas Monthly for nearly 10 years before his death in 2016. His drawings illustrate
Texans' curiosity with their state, and in their own way, have become 
part of the Texas fabric, the Texas mythology. Nearly 100 of Unruh's original iconic drawings are being featured at the Red & White Gallery. David Courtney, Texanist writer, will be on hand to sign his book "The Texanist: Fine Advice on Living in Texas"
His book highlights 54 of Jack's drawings.  Regular Gallery hours:

Visions and Voices Exhibition
October 27-28
Visions and Voices Exhibition - Art abounds at Festival Hill. Join us during the weekend of Friday-Saturday, October 27-28, 2017 for the exhibition, Visions and Voices. Writers, poets and visual artists from the Round Top area and around Texas will display their works on the campus of Round Top Festival Institute.  The opening performance and exhibit will be held in the "Old Yellow School House," the service building east of the concert hall, on Friday, October 27 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm (doors open at 6:00 pm). Artists will talk about their works and read their poems and stories. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. On Saturday, October 28, the exhibit will be open for your viewing from 1:00 pm till 5:00 pm. You will have time to view the exhibit and attend the Moores School Concert Chorale performance at 3:00 pm in the Festival Concert Hall.

KIDS Unlimited

KIDS Unlimited Bass Tournament - This annual tournament is our largest fishing event. Held at Fayette County Lake near LaGrange, Texas the action takes place over a night and the next day. Members arrive Friday night and prepare for an early start.  On Saturday the children team with our volunteer fishermen and their boats.  One child and one fisherman per boat provide an opportunity for the child to feel free and independent. Each boat has a radio for communication and parents are taken out for photographs and cheer-leading.  At noon, all teams return to shore for  lunch and an awards ceremony.  All children receive trophies, fishing tackle and supplies.  Raffles are also held.

Trunk-or-Treat at St. Paul Lutheran Church Decorate your vehicle, dress up, and have treats to hand out to the Trick-or-Treaters.  There will also be games and activities.  Fun for the whole family.
